Info
2019.01.08

KH Gallery Ginza will hold the exhibition entitled “小篠弘子 × HIROKO KOSHINO – Cycle of Art and Design –”. The career of the fashion designer Hiroko Koshino started when the 18-year-old Hiroko Koshino entered the world of design while dreaming of becoming a painter. Since she found the commonality between fashion drawings and paintings, she worked at the forefront of the fashion industry as a designer. Clothes made with the original design textile, paintings that feature the collage of that textile, clothes with prints of these paintings… Such process of developing creations in different forms will be presented in installations using large frames. The exhibition will also display digital-made textiles that reproduced Koshino’s hand-drawn paintings, as well as rare clothes that she directly painted. Giclée fashion drawings, the starting point of clothes making, will be sold too.
Plane and solid, static and dynamic, analog and digital—please enjoy the endless cycle of art and design that connects different elements and continues to expand without limit.
