HIROKO KOSHINO

Ginza KURAMA-KAI is a recital group consisted of long established business owners of Ginza with artistic skill’s. Consequent to the opening of HIROKO KOSHINO’s flagship shop in Ginza last year, the designer joined Ginza KURAMA-KAI and appeared on stage of KURAMA-KAI’s recital held on Semtember 26th. A wide range of performances such as Kouta・Nagauta・Nougaku・Katobushi・Utazawa・Tokiwazu・Icchubushi・Kiyomoto were shown at the event which exposed GINZA owners deep attainment for traditional Japanese performing arts. Hiroko Koshino, whose stage name is Kineya Rokunobujyo, appeared as lead-off performer and presented Syamisen ''Sagimusume'', and received plaudits from large audience. Young Geisya in Shinbashi made a grand appearance in the middle of the event and it was a graceful moment for all of us spent with many guest who took delight in elegant pursuits.

An annual festival ''Kishiwada Danjiri Festival'' was held on September 14th and 15th.
Despite the terriable typhoon which struck the main island of Japan, the Danjiri festival float covered with rain hood ran with passion and embodiment of valiancy. Many guests visited the Koshino Gallery this year as well, and enjoyed the festival with Koshino’s three sisters along with the late ''Oka-chan'', mother of three sisters.

Hiroko Koshino's private house in Ashiya which was just completed last May was introduced in the magazine. A new extension building has been added adjacent to former studio and guest house built 12years ago. Big picture windows that opens out to the garden creates the feel of luscious nature wherever you are in the house. We hope you enjoy the article.

Hiroko Koshino who has been active at the front line of the fashion world contributed an article to a book titled ''Now what? -how to built the future-'' which will be published for the 100th anniversary of Iwanami Shoten Publishers. 228 wonderful leaders from various fields such as politics, economics, international relations, sociology, education, science, technology, culture, art and media have raised a wide range of social problems. Hiroko Koshino also presented her recommendations about the future of fashion industry.
